Quiet after the storm
I guess the title says it all. It has been a hectic month so far. The last of October and beginning of November where spent taking care of Conner as Austin had his surgery. He is doing well, but I am sure impatient for activities as usual. He came home with a walker and that is not condusive to chasing a 19 month old. Conner seems to know that also !! Michelle has her hands full.
Brandi and I took Mom and Dad to Syracuse to catch there plane Tuesday and they were safe and sound in 70 degree weather that evening. I have had some kind of virus or whatever and could not find the strength to drive home. We went to the mall for about 25 minutes and were both exhausted...So on to the Christmas Tree Store...my favorite place in the world and I was too tired to do much shopping. I picked up a few things and thought we should head for home. I did not make it far and realized this was not to be. So off to a Holiday Inn Express where we both went to sleep at 3pm and woke long enough to have pizza delivered and back to sleep until the next morning. We headed home Wed about 11. I was in horrible shape but we made it home and I went right to bed. I am feeling a little better today but not on top of the world.
I am working on hats with my knitting loom and listening to another of Nicholas Sparks books as I knit. This one was only available on audio cassette so I dragged an old Boom Box out and it works great. This book is called the Rescue. He is a great author and I especially like this way of reading !?!?! books. I love to multi task given an oppertunity hehehe!!!!
We have the living room emptied to paint the walls for the first time in 15 years and I am down to snading all the patches hehe. This damp weather has put Jack right in bed. Florida can not come soon enough for him.
With Christmas just around the corner I want to decorate but with everything torn up that will have to wait a bit.
I thank God everyday for the blessings and trials he allows me to have and hope this old lady learns from them.
Oh by the way on the 13th Brandi turned 21 and Jack 50. I am married to a senior citizen and it is not at all different hehe.
Love to Everyone Debbi
