10 days with Conner

Old post that did not get posted

We got to enjoy Conner's company for 10 whole days. 10 days of good morning Grandma, I love yo u Conner, I love you Grandma, Can I have an ice cream cone ? Not right now you have to eat real food first. But ice cream is food. I know it is a food eaten after healthy food.
Grandma do you think there is a new Skylander out yet, can we go to Walmart and see and then Game Stop and any other place that might sell video games?
Reading, reading, reading with Mommy. Wow can that child read well. He is growing so fast and is so smart. I want him to slow down and be little forever but he says I can't stop that. Some how he has his whole life planned out ! He is going to Plattsburgh State to be a teacher like Daddy. Then after and not until he graduates he will marry someone from Malone and have 1 child. These are his exact words ! Way too funny !
He provides the best comic relief ever. Half way through the movie Zookeeper being showed at the Hawkins Point Visitors center he says this is boring I want to go play with the displays.... Gee grandma was just getting into the movie ! So off for an hour with Mommy to play with the displays. I may see the end of that movie someday.
And ICE we had more than ever and he loved getting on his sled and just slipping down the driveway. His little rosy cheeks are so kissable.
Then off to Canton go Grandpa, Grandma and Conner and Mommy to stay at the Comfort Suites so Mr Conner can swim...The little fish is immune to cold water and would jump from the hot tub into the cold pool and play basketball.
Our 10 days ended way too soon. But we enjoyed every second of it. Some pictures of swimming.

Funny day

Brandi has just had Gastric bypass surgery and I have been driving back and forth to Saranac Lake. One of my mornings went like this. When I turned from the Nicholville to St Regis Falls and then to Saranac through the Santa Clara forest these things happened. 1st a dead deer beside the road which always makes me unhappy. 2nd a small fawn jumps into the road sliding across the pavement (oh what a road burn) then proceeds to run frantically in front of me in the road for 1/2 mile over a hill as I held my breath. Then finally of into the woods. next was a flock of turkeys that seemed to wan to let me know the road was theirs until they decided to walk off. Ok so all the wildlife ends. Next road has a lovely road block with Border patrol and State Police "yes I am a US citizen". I finally think I am on my way...oh no PAVING as I sit for quite a while for a truck to lead me around a 2 mile 30 mph stretch of highway to the other side of the road detour !!! Finally landing me at the Hospital a little after 9 am. For me that is quite a complication to ake place before 9am. But it did make my day. For those of you who don't know this route there is nothing and I mean nothing between these to spots except BEAUTIFUL FOREST.
